Platypus Turf in Queensland is situated amongst the picturesque valley of Mount Kilcoy. A freshwater creek flows through the middle of the property and it’s home to our very own platypus family.

All year round, soft rainfall from the edge of Conondale Rainforest keeps our turf soft, lush and green, making for the perfect growing conditions. We grow and sell our own turf

Our family started farming this land in 1904
All our turf is inspected by hand and includes a nice layer of soil for the turf to establish. Our farm is not on sandy soil but on a beautiful dark and rich loam.

The History Of Our Family Business

Our turf farm is on the doorstep of the Conondale National Park. Est. since 1904, our family began farming this land, so we know very well how good the soil on our turf is. We’re proud to work with the very best turf varieties in Queensland. The rain drifts in from the rainforest and grows the best, most luscious turf around. Trust us, we’ve been here for over a century!
